This rail and coach tour combines comfortable coach travel with the unforgettable ride on board the Alaska Railroad.Rugged coastlines snow-capped peaks, jewel-toned lakes, and towering fjords are a feast for the senses on this scenery-filled 7 day journey.Your tour starts in Fairbanks, Alaska. Not only is it one of the state’s largest cities and just down the road from Denali National Park and Preserve, it’s a bouncing-off point for trips into Alaska’s remote villages, the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and Gates of the Arctic National Park. Board in Fairbanks the last full-service railroad in North America and choose between the “Adventure Class” seating in the one-storey railway car or the “Deluxe Dome Railcar” on board the Alaska Railroad or with one of the privately operated trains. Board the train and continue to Talkeetna, the base for all mountaineering activities and flightseeing tours to Mt. Denali (formerly Mt. McKinley). Get a once in a lifetime view of some of the world’s largest and most incredible glaciers, glacial ice falls and sheer vertical cliffs. In the second part of the journey you will travel by motorcoach to Seward. The Parks Highway as well as the Seward Highway offers spectacular scenery and you will appreciate the comfortable seating, generous legroom, and large picture windows of the custom motorcoaches. Your knowledgeable bus driver-guide will offer tour highlights along the route, and ample photo and restroom stops will be made. Board in Seward the stable catamaran for a spectacular cruise deep into Kenai Fjords National Park with actively "calving" glaciers and magnificent scenery. Covering 110-miles, the trip is narrated by a National Park Ranger, who is highly adept at spotting wildlife and pointing out the many sights. The finale to this tour is Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city and brimming with activities for the outdoorsy and adventurous. On request, this trip can be customized and organized in reverse order.

Brad, Las Vegas: Thank you for organzing, we had a really nice trip. The selection of the hotels was first class. It ranged from rather larger hotels to lodges and cozy cottages. The location of the accommodation was also very well chosen. We took the Alaska Railroad trip from Fairbanks to Denali National Park and on to Talkeetna and Anchorage. Each distance took several hours to go and we enjoyed every minute. The ride was smooth and comfortable, and the scenic beauty was wonderful.
