On this tour you will travel from Fairbanks along the Dalton Highway to the Arctic Circle in the Brooks Mountain Range. Enjoy the first-hand experience of the Earth’s northernmost circle of latitude in one of our climate-controlled vans. Here, in the summer, the sky is completely light for 24 hours a day! Travel along the famous Dalton Highway and spot wildlife (no guarantee) as you cross the Yukon River. SFA1002 Guided Arctic Circle Fly/Drive to Coldfoot & the Yukon River

Cross the Arctic Circle on this one-day guided journey by air and land into Alaska’s remote Brooks Mountain Range. The adventure begins with a scenic flight from Fairbanks to Coldfoot, offering spectacular aerial views of the vast Alaskan wilderness. Upon arrival, meet your Coldfoot Camp guide before beginning the journey south along the rugged Dalton Highway, made famous during the construction of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Travel through the Arctic tundra, cross the Arctic Circle and experience the mighty Yukon River. Along the way, view the Trans-Alaska Pipeline and visit the Arctic Circle Trading Post in the rural community of Joy, Alaska, where you will receive an official certificate commemorating your Arctic Circle crossing. Upon landing, meet a local host who will share their personal perspective on life in this remote Athabascan village. Explore Fort Yukon by repurposed school bus and visit the Yukon River before your return flight to Fairbanks. SFA1004 Gates of the Arctic Air Adventure 

Experience the remote beauty of Alaska’s Far North on this unforgettable flightseeing adventure from Fairbanks. Fly north across the Arctic Circle and into the rugged Brooks Mountain Range, with spectacular views of the vast and untouched Arctic wilderness below. The flight includes a brief landing in Coldfoot, located about 60 miles north of the Arctic Circle and known as the gateway to Gates of the Arctic National Park. After a short orientation and restroom break, continue by air into the heart of Gates of the Arctic National Park, one of Alaska’s most remote and pristine wilderness areas. Here's your chance to experience the adventure these renowned writers enjoyed as you cruise aboard the authentic sternwheeler riverboat Discovery II, rated the number one boat tour in North America. Enjoy a lively narration as you view a trapper's cabin, log homes, and a bush pilot performance. Visit the home of four-time Iditarod champion Susan Butcher, as you pass Trail Breaker Kennels along the Chena River. Learn first-hand about kennel life and the challenges that go into making a champion dogsled team. You'll make a stop at the historic site of a Chena Indian village to see native crafters in action and to learn about Native Alaskan hunting and fishing at an Athabascan Fish Camp.

Laura, Canada: We had a wonderful time exploring Alaska's most northern region. Our trip started at the Fairbanks Airport where our family of five was flown up to Fort Yukon, located above the Arctic Circle. The views from the plane were breathtaking and the pilot was very informative during the entire flight. We explored the village of Fort Yukon where we learned how people live away from big cities. We stopped at the Yukon River and got some great pictures. So very glad we joined this trip.
